New Gen isn’t just a day. We’re building a community of young creatives in West London who are collaborating, picking up new skills, gaining experience and confidence, sharing the love, and making things happen!

• The New Gen Media Team, run by DIAXPORA, meets weekly, documents events, and is putting together a pilot podcast.
• The New Gen open mic has been running at Greenford Community Centre since February 2025 and takes place monthly (updates on Instagram). There will be more open mics at other locations in the run-up to the Festival.
• The New Gen Creative Careers Programme is a series of workshops funded by Ealing Council taking place at two secondary schools in the spring term 2025—MAMA Youth (film) at Ealing Fields High School and Bollo Studios (music) at Drayton Manor High School.
• In January 2025 Rebels & Pilgrims organised two New Gen two pop-up events in Southall and Acton, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, with performances by West London Dub Club, Hindh, Swivel Entertainment (hula-hooping!), and more.
• Our series of music industry workshops continues with two new sessions for artists and producers starting out in their careers on 1 and 2 May 2025: FULL DETAILS.
• During June and July 2025, in the run-up to the Festival, there is a series of events with a women’s open mics and four cyphers with The Spit Game taking place at locations around Ealing. See @newgen_fest on Instagram for updates.
